Key Responsibilities:

Layout Inspection

  • Perform dimensional layout inspection of components/products as per drawings and specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM, etc.)
  • Prepare and maintain layout inspection reports and records
  • Validate first article inspection (FAI) and support new product development

Quality Control Operations

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure product conformity
  • Identify non-conformities and ensure timely reporting and segregation
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure calibration status and proper usage of measuring instruments

QMS & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and documentation practices
  • Maintain records as per ISO / IATF standards
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness
  • Drive compliance to GMP (if applicable) and regulatory requirements

MSA & Process Validation

  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) including Gauge R&R studies
  • Ensure reliability and accuracy of measurement systems
  • Support process validation and capability studies (Cp, Cpk)

Shift Handling & Shop Floor Coordination

  • Independently handle shifts and manage quality activities on the shop floor
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams
  • Ensure smooth communication during shift handovers
  • Guide and support operators on quality-related matters

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities
  • Reduce defects, rework, and rejection rates
  • Drive standardization and best practices in inspection processes

Preferred Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Quality Control with focus on layout inspection
  • Experience in regulated industries (Automotive preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of layout inspection and measuring instruments
  • Understanding of QMS, ISO, and IATF standards
  • Knowledge of MSA, SPC, and 5 Core Tools
