Key Responsibilities:
Layout Inspection
- Perform dimensional layout inspection of components/products as per drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM, etc.)
- Prepare and maintain layout inspection reports and records
- Validate first article inspection (FAI) and support new product development
Quality Control Operations
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure product conformity
- Identify non-conformities and ensure timely reporting and segregation
- Support root cause analysis and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure calibration status and proper usage of measuring instruments
QMS & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and documentation practices
- Maintain records as per ISO / IATF standards
- Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness
- Drive compliance to GMP (if applicable) and regulatory requirements
MSA & Process Validation
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) including Gauge R&R studies
- Ensure reliability and accuracy of measurement systems
- Support process validation and capability studies (Cp, Cpk)
Shift Handling & Shop Floor Coordination
- Independently handle shifts and manage quality activities on the shop floor
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Ensure smooth communication during shift handovers
- Guide and support operators on quality-related matters
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities
- Reduce defects, rework, and rejection rates
- Drive standardization and best practices in inspection processes
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Quality Control with focus on layout inspection
- Experience in regulated industries (Automotive preferred)
- Strong knowledge of layout inspection and measuring instruments
- Understanding of QMS, ISO, and IATF standards
- Knowledge of MSA, SPC, and 5 Core Tools
