Role & responsibilities
Assembly Process Management:
- Oversee day-to-day assembly operations, ensuring all processes comply with industry standards, quality regulations, and safety protocols.
- Develop, implement, and optimize assembly processes to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct regular process audits to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Material and Manpower Management:
- Coordinate material flow and inventory management to ensure timely availability of components.
- Manage and organize assembly workforce, ensuring optimal staffing levels and effective utilization of resources.
- Ensure that assembly workstations are adequately equipped with the necessary tools, components, and materials.
Productivity and Continuous Improvement:
- Utilize SPC and other quality tools to monitor, analyze, and improve assembly processes and product quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
Rejection Analysis & Quality Monitoring:
- Lead the rejection analysis process by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions for assembly defects or deviations.
- Monitor quality metrics, track defect rates, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer specifications.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, R&D, and Production Planning to align on process changes, new product introductions, and overall production goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports on assembly performance, key metrics, and ongoing improvement initiatives to management.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- BE/BTech (Mech) with 3-5 years of experience in assembly engineering, preferably within the medical device or regulated manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in using SPC, root cause analysis, and quality improvement tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
