Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution
- Prepare and execute daily and weekly production schedules aligned with demand plans
- Monitor line performance and ensure adherence to production targets
- Optimize manpower and machine utilization
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (QA, Maintenance, SCM) for smooth operations
Automation Assembly Operations
- Oversee automated assembly line operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor critical process parameters and maintain process stability
- Drive troubleshooting and resolution of line issues to minimize downtime
Installation & Commissioning of Equipment
- Support installation, qualification, and commissioning of new machinery, fixtures, and equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders during setup and validation
- Ensure timely readiness of assembly lines for production
Training & Skill Development
- Conduct on-the-job training for operators and technicians
- Develop and maintain skill matrices for the team
- Identify training needs and drive capability building initiatives
- Ensure adherence to standard work practices
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost optimization
- Drive Lean, Kaizen, and productivity enhancement initiatives
- Reduce rejection, rework, and cycle time in assembly processes
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering
- 8 - 12 years of experience in automation assembly (preferably in medical devices/pharma)
- Strong understanding of automated assembly systems
- Knowledge of GMP and medical device regulations
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
