Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

  • Prepare and execute daily and weekly production schedules aligned with demand plans
  • Monitor line performance and ensure adherence to production targets
  • Optimize manpower and machine utilization
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (QA, Maintenance, SCM) for smooth operations

Automation Assembly Operations

  • Oversee automated assembly line operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor critical process parameters and maintain process stability
  • Drive troubleshooting and resolution of line issues to minimize downtime

Installation & Commissioning of Equipment

  • Support installation, qualification, and commissioning of new machinery, fixtures, and equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders during setup and validation
  • Ensure timely readiness of assembly lines for production

Training & Skill Development

  • Conduct on-the-job training for operators and technicians
  • Develop and maintain skill matrices for the team
  • Identify training needs and drive capability building initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to standard work practices

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost optimization
  • Drive Lean, Kaizen, and productivity enhancement initiatives
  • Reduce rejection, rework, and cycle time in assembly processes

Preferred Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering
  • 8 - 12 years of experience in automation assembly (preferably in medical devices/pharma)
  • Strong understanding of automated assembly systems
  • Knowledge of GMP and medical device regulations
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
